WEBINAR INVITATION: Key Political Risks Facing Central & Eastern Europe in 2023
January 10, 2023
For Central & Eastern & Southeastern Europe, 2022 was a year of multiple political, security and economic challenges and this year is expected to bring similarly pressing risks throughout the region.

Russia’s all-out war against Ukraine and its consequences continue to define the main political, economic and security steps taken by the European Union, as well as by CEE governments. The impact of the war has brought considerable political and regulatory uncertainty as societies, businesses and governments have scrambled to respond.

The CEE region is characterised by a tendency towards experimental and/or ideologically diverse coalitions, with many facing major question marks over their potential to remain in power throughout 2023, as the region hopes to counter a major economic downturn and the ongoing energy crisis.

After a key election season last year, the CEE & SEE regions are also braced for much-anticipated electoral contests in Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Montenegro, Turkey and Ukraine. At the same time, the region's political stability depends not only on domestic political factors but also on international affairs, most crucially its relations with the EU, the US and China.

Aretera is pleased to invite you for its year-opening webinar, which will focus on key political developments and risks for CEE in 2023.
