Professional experience

İlknur started her career as a columnist at the Diplomatic Observer Journal, an influential Turkish magazine on foreign affairs, where she was responsible for the daily coverage of political and diplomatic developments at the magazine's website and preparing analytical overviews and interviews with diplomats and politicians for the monthly magazine.

In addition, Ilknur took internships in the Energy Market Regulatory Agency of Turkey (EMRA), the Turkish Embassy to Prishtina and several technology companies, where she prepared market analysis reports on various regulatory acts and received first-hand experience in international affairs.

Background

İlknur received her first master's degree in Eurasian Studies from the Middle East Technical University (Ankara) and a bachelor degree with Honours in International Relations from the Bilkent University (Ankara). Currently, she is continuing her studies for the second master's degree in Political Science from the Hacettepe University (Ankara).

İlknur is a member of TUİÇ (Turkish International Relations Studies Foundation) and a contributor to SASAM (Sahipkıran Strategic Research Center).
